Come be a part of the Young Life College team in Houston, Texas! Over the last decade, Houston YL College has been a unique space for the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have become an engine for the increase of multi-ethnic ministry in the city of Houston. Our mission is to make transformative disciples of college students for Jesus Christ of all tongues, tribes, and nations that they may take the Gospel from Houston to the ends of the Earth. Our vision is to meet college students in Houston of all backgrounds in their present reality in hopes to impact their eternal future in Christ through REACHING the furthest out, BUILDING them up in a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus, and LAUNCHING them out as missionaries into the neighboring communities, the work force, and beyond.

You'll have the opportunity to lead, empower, and grow a team of volunteers and staff. In our area we have 4 full-time staff, 13 student staff, and over 40 college aged leaders at each school. Depending on the candidate will determine your position title and which university you will be working at. 90% of this job is uninterrupted time with college students in THEIR world: outreach, discipleship, and vision casting. If that is your passion, this is the job for you! On top of this opportunity comes the luxury of living in the most diverse city and fourth largest city in America. Each of our schools represent the city and their respective communities accurately. We want to find someone, who desires to chase after the nations with us!

Responsibilities:

• Embody a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Be Holy Spirit-led, servant leader, and vision caster.
• A servant leader who is teachable, innovative, collaborative and flexible.
• Love and pursue students on campus daily.
• Establish a presence among the student body.
• Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and corporate level.
• Passionate about taking students through scripture in various settings.
• Lead a team of staff and volunteers.
• Lead effective clubs, small groups, and events.
• Implement ongoing plans and opportunities to maximize Gospel proclamation.
• Participation and leadership in area, regional, and national staff events and training.
• Develop and achieve fundraising goal of $30,000 and grow this number annually
• Recruit, develop and sustain diverse student leaders.
• Ability to build, train, recruit and grow teams of people (student leaders, adult leaders and committee members).
