Location: New Brunswick, NJ

Description:

Young Life in the Brunswicks (New Brunswick, NJ) is seeking an innovative, driven, and faithful individual to fulfill the role of a part-time YoungLives Coordinator.

YoungLives? is Young Life’s outreach and ministry to parenting teenagers and their children. This coordinator needs to be someone who has a mature faith, and a willingness to adopt leadership in multiple capacities, primarily mentors and volunteers, in addition to the teen moms themselves.

  • Camp - Help lead logistics for Summer Camp, working with ministry partners to raise funds for teen moms to go to camp, and attend the week of summer camp

  • Committee - Work alongside the area’s existing Committee, and have a watchful eye for recruiting the next individual or family who desires to make an impact with teen moms

Financial Management + Donor Development

  • Raise personal and ministry funds as determined by the supervisor, in a “missionary”-style funding model.

  • Participate in area fundraising events and opportunities, like a Banquet, recruiting players and business sponsors for the annual Golf Outing, and participating in the camp scholarship yard sale.

Administration

  • Work in accordance with the Area Director, YoungLives Coordinator, and area administrator to ensure that area administrative tasks are handled with excellence and on time.

Community Outreach

  • Speak to civic and church groups to promote and publicize YoungLives.

  • Develop relationships with schools, teen parenting programs, crisis pregnancy centers and other applicable community organizations.
