Income Processor I — Colorado Springs, CO

Create solutions through collaborative efforts within the department and across departmental lines. This detail-oriented individual will ensure the accurate and timely processing of contributions and other revenue to appropriate accounts and assist in the daily maintenance of the donor database.

Essential Duties:

  • On a daily basis, responsible for answering phone calls and responding to emails directed to the Income Processing department.
  • Assist staff, donors and other customers with a variety of revenue-type concerns (e.g., reconciling contributions to appropriate reports, tracking contributions and payments, etc.).
  • Track contributions and payments as requested by area staff and donors.
  • Must handle details of IRS regulations and enter account numbers, fund codes, dates, and gift types.
  • Research and facilitate processing of various revenue items; to include requests from donors for credit card/EFT gifts, stock gifts, non-cash gifts, and other income as needed.
  • Perform income processing research and corrections as required. 
  • Review and verify donor database for accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of donor database and giving history.
  • Create and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Represent the Income Processing department in an efficient, professional manner to donors and Young Life staff.
  • Assist other income processors as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.
  • Individual will be sitting at his/her desk the majority of the day; must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Mandatory overtime will be required on an as-needed basis.


  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Some business related experience preferred.

Experience Required For The Job:

  • One or more years in a clerical position desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Proven customer service experience and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to pay extreme attention to detail and handle daily multi-tasking.
  • Excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Successfully prioritize and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to accurately perform mathematical procedures (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.)
  • Must be a team player.
