YL Military Financial Services Intern

Department: Young Life Military
Location: Colorado Springs, CO

This self-motivated and responsible individual will have strong willingness and aptitude to learn basic accounting and analytical financial skills. He or she will perform financial and administrative tasks for a variety of functions in a detail- and deadline-oriented department.


Essential Duties:

  • Complete and support various projects assigned by Young Life Military Financial Services department.

  • Exemplify a commitment to serve others with integrity and compassion, execute with excellence, and create solutions through collaborative efforts within the departments assigned and across departmental lines.

  • With input, prepare spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations for assigned projects.

  • Work cooperatively with other departments in the mission on issues related to Financial Services.

  • Coordinate and/or complete special projects as needed.

  • Prioritize workload according to the goals, objectives and deadlines of individual projects as assigned by creative coordinator and department director.



  • Some college or financial and/or accounting skills preferred, but not required.


Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.


Qualifications Required for the Job:

  • Familiarity with financial and/or accounting principles.

  • Demonstrate excellence in communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Maintain absolute confidentiality.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Must be self-motivated.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Must be able to multi-task a variety of projects under tight deadline pressure.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
